Precision and high-quality end caps can benefit your overall efficiency, part quality and longevity of your components and parts.  End caps are very important and requires the selection, design and precision to match your other components for injection molding  or extrusion that best matches your application. Several factors must be considered when choosing an end cap.

Strength: End caps receive high amounts of pressure with each cycle of the machine, which requires the end caps to withstand these pressures and cycles, day-in and day-out.

Wear resistance: Friction and abrasion can take their toll on end caps. By matching your end cap material to the resins and pressures in a system, you can reduce the effects of wear and ensure a longer-lasting life of your end cap.

Corrosion resistance: Consider the corrosive characteristics of the resin and the end cap material you’re working with as some plastics and metals react more aggressively to each others.  Plasti-Co^® end caps can provide you with the solution for your particular application.

Tapered & polished flow path: If the end cap flow path tapers and has a high quality polished finish, as it enters the mold, there’s less chance for materials to build up and degrade.  If the taper and polish are not matched to your nozzle, the chances increase for poor part quality parts, increased scrap rate with degraded resin entering the mold, resulting in the rejection of finished parts.
